Two artistes collaborate over 2 MTVs to tell a triangle love story where a girl vaccilates between the 2 men in her life, but who in the end chooses to leave both of them when she discovers that she has a brain tumor.

In part 1, the MTV by Jay Chou, he has to bear the pain of seeing his ex-girlfriend whom he still loves, together with his best friend Will Liu. They even announce news of their wedding to him. This happens during autumn when the maple leaves (楓) are falling, symbolic of the melancholy in his heart as he sings out his pain of having to hide his love from her. It ends with the girl walking into Jay Chou’s room, and seeing all the photos of when they were together on his walls, and realising that he is still in love with her.

Part 2 of the story is sung by Will Liu, whom the girl has broken up with after she sees the photos in Jay Chou’s room and realises she still misses him as well. Now Will is the one who is broken hearted, and reminisces of the times when he was with her, and the struggles between the 2 friends from being in love with the same woman. In this MTV, it dwells heavily on the memories Will Liu has with the girl, dwelling in his self-created paradise where the memories are like rainbows… hence the name Rainbow Paradise (彩虹天堂). However, the twist in this MTV is that the girl discovers she has a tumor in her brain, and interestingly enough writes a letter to Will Liu before she packs her bag and leaves the 2 of them.

This is an interesting collaboration of artistic talents with differing performing styles while the general tone and mood of the songs remain consistent. This MTV is a summary of an actual TV serial with the same story line.
