童話 Fairy Tale

One of the hot karaoke songs is this ballad called 童話, or “Fairy Tale”. Despite the fact that it has been released for quite a number of years, there are still many 光良 fans who would still choose this as their favourite vocal rendition. If you have seen the original MTV video, you will see that it depicts the story of a young couple in love. The girl later finds out she has cancer and dies while listening to her boyfriend’s first successful piano concert over the handphone as she lies on the hospital bed. The lyrics in the song depicts her disbelief that her boyfriend would be the Prince who will save her, while he frantically tries to make her belief that he is capable of protecting her from everything, including her illness. However, as she dies in the end, it becomes a sad story of a couple who wanted to believe that fairy tales do exist but had reality put an end to their hopes and dream of being together.
