Circumnavigation in 13 Years!
Posted on October 9, 2007 - Filed Under Offbeat News
On Oct 6, a man called Jason Lewis completed his circumnavigation journey around the world in 13 years! In an effort to raise funds for humanitarian causes, he decided to do this journey based entirely on muscle power, alternating between the bicycler, roller blades, boats, etc.
His journey was interrupted by one accident along the US highway where a car hit him, breaking both legs for which he had to recuperate for 9 months, and another family event where he went home to be with his dad as he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy.
Nevertheless, he stuck to his cause, even in the face of lagging funds and bravely completed his journey for his cause on Oct 6th. An amazing feat indeed, and the determination of the man willing to sacrifice 13 years of his life in order to raise attention to humanitarian needs is truly outstanding.
