Koh Samui

I have always wanted to have a holiday at Koh Samui as friends who have been there described it as “heavenly” and being one of the better resort areas than any other resort spot in Thailand. Recently, a friend made me an offer I couldn’t refuse - her boss had built a personal villa on the beachfront of Taling Ngam, on the quieter side of Koh Samui, but 10 minutes away from Spa resorts and touristy restaurants. He even arranged for the beauty salon lady to pop in and pamper us with manicures and pedicures at 250 baht per pax, and a masseuse who charged 150 baht for an hour’s worth of Swiss massage.
It was a beautiful holiday though it rained for all 3 days that we were there, but we had a great time walking the beach, watching puppies frolick on the front lawn leading to the beach, playing around in the pool, lazing away in the TV room, driving out at night to Nathon and Chaweng for late night shopping, and just enjoying the beauty of the place while being spoilt rotten with a housekeeper, security guard and gardener cum driver.
