If you are not aware, MS Word has a function to help you correct passive sentence and improve the readability of your articles. To turn on this function, follow the steps below:
1. When you have finished writing your article in MS Word, go to Tools > Options.

2. Select the Spelling & Grammar tab, and click on “Settings”. Ensure that the “Readability Stats” option is selected.

1. Scroll down to the options under Style, and select “Passive Sentences” and click “OK”.

4. Run the “Spelling and Grammar” check on your article. Go through the list of edits suggested by MS Word. After you have done this, it will generate the readability stats for your article that will include the number of passive sentences you have in your article.
